Agreement Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of website development and hosting services provided by RumbleWebsites ("we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these terms.

Services Provided

We offer the following services:

Custom website development
Initial 1-page website design with client's choice of content organization
Clients decide which sections should be separated into individual pages
Additional webpage development (R400 per page)
Custom .co.za domain registration and management
Business email setup and configuration
Responsive website design
Web hosting services
Ongoing website maintenance and updates

Initial Website Design Process

All website projects begin with a comprehensive 1-page design that includes all client-provided content and required sections. During the review phase, clients can:

Review the complete design layout and content organization
Choose which sections should remain on a single scrolling page
Request specific sections be separated into individual pages
Decide on the final site structure that best suits their business needs

Note: The initial design includes all content in an organized, professional layout. Additional pages beyond the initial structure are charged at R400 per page.

                        Deposits secure your project slot and cover planning, setup, and the start of development work
Deposit refunds are considered only in the limited situations described in the refund section below
Balances are due when the agreed package is complete and ready for launch or final handover
If RumbleWebsites cannot reasonably deliver the agreed core service, an appropriate refund or alternative resolution will be considered

Project Communication Expectations

Good communication helps us complete projects faster and with fewer delays.

Clients should aim to respond to key project questions and approvals within a reasonable time
Delays in content delivery, approvals, or feedback may delay development and launch timelines
If a project goes inactive for an extended period, we may pause work until communication resumes
Where possible, we will work in good faith with clients who have genuine delays or emergencies

Payment Schedule

Basic Website Design: R500 deposit to start, with the remaining balance due on completion
Premium Website Design: 50% deposit to start, with the remaining 50% due on completion
Basic E-Commerce: R1,000 deposit to start, remaining R1,000 due on completion
Premium E-Commerce: R1,000 deposit to start, remaining R3,000 due on completion
Hosting: billed separately from website design and paid through PayFast for recurring subscriptions

RumbleWebsites offers managed hosting services, and also provides a self-service pathway through Domains.co.za for clients who prefer to manage hosting directly.

Monthly Add-ons:

Extra Storage: R8.49/GB/month (up to 30GB additional per cPanel)
Extra Addon Domains: R100/month per 5 domains (allows hosting 5 more websites)

Pricing:

Monthly: R0 first month, then R150/month from month 2
Yearly: R1430 (11 months × R130 - save 21%)

Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za)

Self Service Hosting is not a RumbleWebsites hosting subscription. It means the client signs up directly with Domains.co.za through our partner link and manages their own hosting account, billing, domain settings, cPanel, DNS, SSL, email, backups, renewals, and configuration.

What this option includes:

Direct hosting relationship between the client and Domains.co.za
Use of Domains.co.za hosting features, tools, package limits, support channels, billing, and terms
If RumbleWebsites designed the website, we will assist with the initial launch and provide a basic tutorial or guidance on how configurations work
General advice from RumbleWebsites on where to get started, where reasonably possible

NOT Included:

No RumbleWebsites managed hosting subscription
No unlimited website changes included
No 24/7 RumbleWebsites hosting support for Domains.co.za account issues
No ongoing RumbleWebsites responsibility for cPanel, DNS, SSL, email, backups, package upgrades, renewals, or server configuration inside the client's Domains.co.za account
Website changes are billed separately from R10 to R1000 depending on the task

Resource Limits & Increments

Rumble Websites Hosting Services: resources and add-ons are managed through RumbleWebsites according to the package selected on the pricing page
Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za): resources, package limits, upgrades, downgrades, billing, renewals, and hosting terms are controlled directly by Domains.co.za and the client's chosen package
Client responsibility: clients choosing Domains.co.za self-service hosting are responsible for reading and accepting Domains.co.za's own terms, pricing, package limits, renewal rules, and support policies

Hosting Payment & Commitment

Rumble Websites Hosting Services: recurring hosting subscriptions must be paid through the secure PayFast gateway
No alternative recurring payment methods: bank transfer, EFT, cash, or manual monthly payments are not accepted for RumbleWebsites subscription billing
Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za): payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and package changes are handled directly between the client and Domains.co.za
Non-refundable: Hosting payments are non-refundable as resources are allocated
Cancellation: RumbleWebsites hosting may be cancelled anytime; service remains active through the paid period

Pricing Changes for Existing Customers

RumbleWebsites reserves the right to adjust pricing for existing customers under the following terms:

Rumble Websites Hosting Services: Pricing is subject to change every 2 years (24 months) for existing customers. Any price adjustments will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za): RumbleWebsites does not control Domains.co.za pricing, package changes, renewal fees, or promotional terms. Clients must refer to Domains.co.za directly.
New pricing: RumbleWebsites hosting customers will receive advance notice of any RumbleWebsites pricing changes via email before they take effect
Customer options: Existing customers may choose to continue service at the new rate or cancel their subscription with no penalties
Grandfathered pricing: RumbleWebsites hosting pricing remains stable during the 2-year commitment period for RumbleWebsites Hosting Services

Note: This policy ensures sustainable service delivery while protecting existing customers with reasonable advance notice and pricing stability during commitment periods.

Configuration Changes & Upgrades

Rumble Websites Hosting Services: Contact us anytime to discuss hosting resource adjustments or add-ons
Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za): All configuration changes, upgrades, downgrades, DNS changes, SSL settings, email configuration, renewals, and account management must be handled by the client inside Domains.co.za or through Domains.co.za support
Optional paid assistance: RumbleWebsites may assist with website changes or selected technical tasks where possible, billed separately from R10 to R1000 depending on the task

Website Design Fees (Separate from Hosting)

Website design is a one-time service purchased separately from hosting:

Basic Website Design: R1500 for 1-3 pages (R500 deposit, R1000 balance on completion)
Additional pages on Basic: R400 per page beyond the first 3 pages
Basic premium interaction bundle: SPA transitions plus premium mobile design are available as a R1000 add-on
Premium Website Design: R2000 base + R300 per page for 10-20 pages, with a 50% deposit to start
Premium Website Design includes: premium SPAS transitions, premium mobile design, and the full Premium E-Commerce Suite at no extra cost
Standalone E-Commerce: available separately as Basic E-Commerce (R2000) or Premium E-Commerce (R4000)
Payment structure: Deposit required to start, balance due upon completion
Note: Website design and hosting are separate purchases - you can choose to host with us or externally

Provider Protection & Fair Use

To ensure quality service for all clients and protect against abuse:

Resource monitoring: All accounts monitored for excessive or abusive usage patterns
Fair use policy: Unlimited bandwidth does not mean unlimited abuse - excessive usage may be investigated
Abuse prevention: Illegal content, spam, or malicious files result in immediate suspension
Performance protection: Websites causing server issues may require optimization or upgrade
Accurate configuration: Clients must configure packages based on actual needs
Resource overage: Repeatedly exceeding allocated resources may require upgrade

Deposit Policy & Refund Terms

Deposit Requirement

A deposit is required before work can commence on most website projects. This secures your project slot and covers consultation, planning, setup, and the start of development work.

Refund Conditions

Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has begun, but a refund may be considered in limited circumstances such as:

Inability to deliver core service: If RumbleWebsites cannot design and develop a functional website that meets the agreed specifications
Failure to complete reasonable work: If we are unable to fulfill our fundamental obligations as outlined in the service agreement
Technical impossibility: If the requested website features are determined to be technically unfeasible with our current capabilities

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Once meaningful work has started, the deposit is normally non-refundable in situations including:

Client changes in requirements or project scope after work has commenced
Client dissatisfaction with design preferences or stylistic choices
Client failure to provide necessary content, feedback, or communication
Extended inactivity: The project is paused for a prolonged period because required client feedback or material is not provided
Client decision to cancel or postpone the project for personal/business reasons
Work already completed in good faith based on the approved project direction

Refund Process

In the rare event that a refund is warranted under the conditions above:

Refund requests must be submitted in writing with detailed explanation
RumbleWebsites will assess the situation within 5-7 business days
If approved, clients must provide banking details for refund processing via:

Any work completed up to that point may be provided to the client at our discretion

Communication Expectations

Active communication between client and RumbleWebsites is important for a successful project. Clients are expected to provide content, approvals, and feedback within a reasonable time so that development can continue smoothly.

Good Faith Commitment

RumbleWebsites is committed to delivering quality website development services and will make every reasonable effort to complete your project successfully. This deposit policy ensures project commitment from both parties while protecting against service delivery failures.

Subscription Management & Suspension Policy

Payment Obligations

Clients are responsible for ensuring timely monthly subscription payments
Payment processed automatically through PayFast subscription system
Communication is essential - we're here to assist with any payment difficulties

Payment Failure Policy

If a hosting payment fails, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and restore service as quickly as possible once payment is resolved.

First notice: Payment failure notification is sent and we remain available to assist with any billing issues
Short grace period: If payment is still outstanding, hosting services may be suspended to prevent ongoing unpaid resource use
Extended non-payment: If an account remains unpaid for an extended period, permanent termination may follow after notice

Important: Suspension timing may vary depending on the billing issue, but clients should contact us promptly if there is any payment problem so we can assist.

PayFast Automatic Billing

PayFast will continue attempting to process your subscription payment automatically
Billing attempts continue until the outstanding subscription balance is settled
You will receive notifications for each billing attempt

Website Suspension

If payment remains outstanding, your website, email, and related hosting access may be suspended
Suspended services remain offline until payment is resolved or a written arrangement is agreed
PayFast may continue retrying payment depending on the subscription setup

Account Termination

If a hosting account remains unpaid for an extended period, RumbleWebsites may terminate the service after notice.

Recurring service may be cancelled and hosting resources reallocated
Websites, email accounts, and related services may be removed from the hosting environment
Where practical, clients may request a copy of their website files before final removal

Summary: We prefer to resolve payment issues cooperatively, but unpaid hosting services cannot remain active indefinitely.

Website Ownership Rights

You retain full ownership of your website content and design.

Upon termination, you will be emailed all files and documents for your website
This includes all design files, code, images, and content
You maintain complete ownership and can host your website elsewhere

Service Restoration

We aim to restore services as soon as reasonably possible after payment receipt
No restoration fees applied regardless of suspension duration
Contact us immediately if experiencing payment difficulties - we're here to help

Accidental Unsubscription

If you accidentally unsubscribe from your monthly hosting:

Do NOT resubscribe using the website subscription form
Contact us immediately and we will email you a new subscription link
The first month free promotion only applies to new clients
Resubscribing through the website will result in subscription cancellation

New Client Promotion: Monthly subscriptions include the first month free as a welcome offer. This promotion applies exclusively to first-time subscribers.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide:

All website content (text, images, logos) in digital format
Necessary business information and branding materials
Timely feedback during the development process
Valid contact information for billing and communications

Development Timeline & Process

Development Timeline

Website development completion time ranges from 1 day to 2 weeks, depending on project complexity, client responsiveness, and content readiness.

Simple websites: Can be completed in 1-3 days with all content ready
Standard websites: Typically 5-10 business days from deposit receipt
Complex websites: Up to 2 weeks for advanced features and customizations
Timeline factors: Project complexity, content availability, and client feedback speed

Unlimited Revisions Policy

RumbleWebsites offers unlimited revisions throughout the development process. We are committed to ensuring complete client satisfaction before final delivery.

No revision limits: Request as many changes as needed to perfect your website
Scope-appropriate revisions: Revisions should relate to the agreed project scope and features
Collaborative process: We work with you until you're completely satisfied
Response time: Revision requests typically addressed within 1-3 business days
Major scope changes: Significant additions beyond original agreement may require additional fees

Note: Unlimited revisions apply to the initial website development. Once the project is finalized and live, ongoing changes are covered under your hosting package's unlimited modifications policy.

Website Delivery & Setup Process

Development & Review Phase

Upon deposit payment and throughout the development process, your website will follow this structured delivery timeline:

Step 1: Development begins after deposit payment and content receipt
Step 2: Completed website is placed on a RumbleWebsites preview or staging subdomain for client review
Step 3: Client reviews website and requests any necessary changes or revisions
Step 4: Revisions completed and website finalized on staging subdomain

Staging Subdomain Benefits & Time Limit

During the review phase, your website may be accessible via a RumbleWebsites preview subdomain, allowing you to:

View your completed website in a live environment
Test all functionality and features before final deployment
Request changes and revisions while maintaining project workflow
Share the preview link with colleagues or stakeholders for feedback
Ensure complete satisfaction before final payment and domain setup

Important: Staging Subdomain Time Limit

The staging subdomain is available for a maximum of 1 month (30 days) from the date it is initially made available to the client. This policy ensures efficient project completion and resource management.

30-day review period: Clients have up to 1 month to review, request revisions, and finalize the website
Automatic removal: If the project is not finalized within 30 days, the staging website will be removed from the subdomain
Project resumption: Clients can resume development at any time by contacting us - the website files are preserved
Re-deployment: When ready to continue, the website will be restored to the staging subdomain
No data loss: All website files and work completed are safely stored and not deleted

Note: This policy encourages timely project completion while accommodating clients who need to pause development. There are no penalties for taking breaks - simply contact us when you're ready to resume.

Final Deployment Process

Once the website is completed to your satisfaction and all requirements are met:

Payment completion: Client subscribes to chosen hosting package and pays remaining balance
Domain setup: Your custom .co.za domain is registered and configured
Website migration: Website is moved from staging subdomain to your permanent domain
Email configuration: Business email accounts are set up and tested
Final handover: All login credentials and documentation provided

Timeline Expectations

Staging deployment: Website available on subdomain within development timeline (7-14 business days)
Review period: Clients have up to 7 days to review and request final changes
Final deployment: Live domain setup completed within 24-48 hours of final payment
Domain propagation: DNS changes may take 24-72 hours to fully propagate globally

Intellectual Property Rights

Client Content

Clients retain ownership of all provided content, logos, and branding materials
Clients grant us license to use materials solely for website development purposes

Website Code and Design

Upon full payment, clients receive full ownership of completed website
We retain right to showcase completed work in our portfolio
We may use anonymized project details as case studies

Domain & Hosting

Domain Registration

.co.za domains cost R100 per year
First year FREE when you purchase a Website Design Package (Basic or Premium)
Otherwise, domains can be registered at R100 upfront
Domain ownership transfers to client upon full payment completion
Annual domain renewal fees (R100/year) are client's responsibility from year 2 onwards

Hosting Services

Hosting includes standard bandwidth and storage allocations
Excessive resource usage may result in additional charges
We use reliable third-party hosting providers but cannot guarantee 100% uptime

Subscription Commitments:

Monthly hosting subscriptions are billed in full for the month purchased. Payments are non-refundable because resources are allocated for that entire month, but the subscription may be cancelled at any time. Service remains active through the paid month.
Yearly hosting subscriptions are billed in full for the twelve-month term and are non-refundable. Clients may cancel at any time, and hosting remains active until the end of the prepaid annual period.

Rumble Websites Hosting Services: includes ongoing content changes, styling updates, and general website assistance within the scope of the hosted website
Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za): is managed directly by the client through Domains.co.za and does not include ongoing RumbleWebsites content, design, hosting, DNS, SSL, email, or cPanel support

Typical turnaround times depend on workload, request size, and project complexity

E-commerce Services - Scope and Limitations

RumbleWebsites offers two standalone e-commerce packages, plus Premium Website Design includes the full Premium E-Commerce Suite at no extra cost.

What We Offer:

Basic E-Commerce (R2,000): up to 8 product pages or categories, shopping cart, Google Sheets product management, Google Drive media storage, and order notifications by email and WhatsApp
Basic E-Commerce payment flow: customers can browse and submit orders, but payment is arranged manually between you and your customer
Premium E-Commerce (R4,000): fully custom-built store with PayFast integration, unlimited products and categories, advanced filtering and search, Google Sheets inventory dashboard, and Google Drive media library
Premium E-Commerce also includes: business branded email infrastructure, premium mobile store design, and priority support when hosted with RumbleWebsites
Premium Website Design package: includes the full Premium E-Commerce Suite at no extra cost

Important Scope Notes:

Package features are limited to what is listed on the active pricing page and agreed in writing before development starts
Additional custom integrations, automation, or platform changes may require a separate quote
Third-party platform fees, payment gateway fees, and service-provider charges remain the client’s responsibility
Store performance and functionality may depend on the third-party tools, APIs, and services used in the project

Premium E-Commerce: ideal for businesses that want a more complete online store with direct PayFast payments and advanced browsing features

Advanced Feature Pricing

Custom quotation: Each advanced feature is quoted individually based on complexity and development requirements
Factors affecting cost: Uniqueness of system, integration complexity, testing requirements, and ongoing maintenance needs
Transparent pricing: Full cost breakdown provided before development begins
One-time fee: No recurring charges for custom features once developed and implemented
Future updates: Minor modifications to custom features included in regular hosting support

Note: Standard website modifications remain unlimited and free. New page additions are subject to the standard R400 per page fee.

Third-Party Developer Hosting Services

RumbleWebsites offers hosting services for websites developed by third-party developers. This service is available for clients who prefer to work with external developers while utilizing our hosting infrastructure.

Setup Requirements and Fees

Setup fee: R1500 once-off fee applies regardless of who develops the website
File coordination: Third-party developer must contact Alistair Dickerson directly to arrange file transfer
Upload service: RumbleWebsites will handle the uploading and configuration of provided files
Standard packages: All regular hosting package rates and benefits apply once website is live

Developer Coordination Process

Direct contact required: Third-party developer must communicate directly with Alistair Dickerson
File specifications: Developer responsible for providing complete, upload-ready website files
Technical requirements: Files must be compatible with our hosting infrastructure and standards
Testing responsibility: Initial functionality testing is the developer's responsibility before handover

Ongoing Support Limitations

Limited modifications: Changes to third-party developed sites may be restricted based on code complexity
Developer dependency: Major modifications may require involvement of original developer
Standard hosting support: Server maintenance, uptime, and basic technical support included
Custom features: Advanced modifications to third-party code subject to additional development fees

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

Loss of data due to client actions or third-party service failures
Website downtime caused by hosting provider issues
Security breaches resulting from client's failure to maintain login credentials
Loss of business or revenue due to website unavailability
Damages exceeding the total amount paid for services

Data Protection & Privacy

We comply with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI)
Client data used solely for service delivery purposes
No data sharing with third parties except for services directly related to website operation
We implement reasonable security measures to protect client information
Clients responsible for their own website content compliance with applicable laws

Termination

By Client

Clients may terminate services with 30 days written notice
No refunds for prepaid hosting periods
Final invoice must be settled before service termination

By RumbleWebsites

We may terminate services for non-payment after 30 days
We may terminate for breach of terms with 7 days notice
All client data provided in standard formats upon termination

Legal Provisions

Business Structure and Registration

RumbleWebsites operates as a small business. Our focus is on delivering clear communication, reliable service, and professional website work at accessible pricing.

Small business structure: Services are provided directly and managed personally
Service commitment: Projects are handled with professional care and direct accountability
Transparent operations: We aim to communicate clearly about scope, pricing, and service delivery

Note: Regardless of business structure, our service commitments, pricing terms, and client obligations remain binding once work has been agreed and payment has been made.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet service disruptions, or hosting provider failures.

Modifications to Terms

RumbleWebsites may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes affect active hosting clients or ongoing services, we aim to provide reasonable notice.

Existing Client Protection

For existing clients with active hosting packages, changes affecting their current services will be handled as follows:

Hosting fees and package terms: Existing clients will receive advance notice before any changes take effect
All hosting packages: Minimum 30 days advance notice for any fee or service changes
Service modifications: Reasonable notice provided for changes that may impact existing functionality

New clients are bound by the current terms in effect at the time of service engagement
Continued use of services after term updates constitutes acceptance of modified terms
Existing clients may choose to terminate services if they disagree with proposed changes, subject to standard termination terms
Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date clearly indicated

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes governed by South African law
Disputes resolved through good faith negotiation and mediation first
If mediation fails, legal proceedings conducted in Western Cape courts

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

All website development and hosting services are optimally performed on the RumbleWebsites platform. This ensures complete compatibility, optimal performance, and comprehensive support throughout the development and maintenance process.

Hosting Infrastructure Partnership

RumbleWebsites is a verified Domains.co.za partner. For Rumble Websites Hosting Services, we manage hosting and domain-related technical work through our own service relationship. For Self Service Hosting (Domains.co.za), the client signs up directly with Domains.co.za and manages that account independently.

Local South African servers: Optimal performance for .co.za websites and local audiences
Professional management: RumbleWebsites handles technical hosting work only for clients subscribed to Rumble Websites Hosting Services

Self-service option: Clients who prefer to manage hosting themselves can sign up with Domains.co.za directly through our partner link
