My name is Alistair Dickerson, a professional marimba teacher and performer based in Cape Town, South Africa. I currently teach hundreds of students each term across eight schools throughout the city. I chose the name "The Rumble God" as a tribute to the challenges I've faced growing up and during my music career. That same determination and curiosity led me to explore new skills and ultimately create RumbleWebsites.
Learn More About The Rumble GodWhen I began teaching marimba in Cape Town, I started my first business, Xtreme Marimbas. Alongside my music career, I developed a deep fascination with website design and functionality. I experimented with platforms like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, and other drag-and-drop builders, but they were expensive to maintain and limited in flexibility. I couldn't afford a developer at the time, and those subscriptions often left me with feature-packed yet poorly designed sites. The biggest frustration was not being able to register my own .co.za domain back then, which made it harder to establish a professional online presence.
As AI tools became more accessible, I discovered a way to teach myself how to design and launch websites. Between Claude Code and Codex, I found powerful partners that allowed me to create modern, innovative designs that truly set my work apart. Drawing on the memory of how costly and inaccessible web development once felt when I first started my teaching business, I made it my mission to offer exceptional web services at the most affordable rates I could. That passion for technology and building creative digital solutions is what gave rise to RumbleWebsites.
Though I don't claim to match the experience of long-time professional developers, my dedication to learning and my approach to "vibe coding" have opened a new world of creativity I'm proud to share.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to working with you.
